Currency

The currency of Saudi Arabia is the Saudi Riyal (SAR). Card payments are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants and shops. ATMs are available in most cities and towns.

Tipping

Tipping is not obligatory but is appreciated at restaurants (approximately 10%). Gratuity service charges may already be included in the bill.

Mobile Connectivity

Saudi Arabia has excellent 4G and 5G coverage nationwide. Prepaid SIM cards are available at airports and major phone retailers. Mobile data plans are affordable and widely available.
